Andrew Otiko is a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the ICAEW. He has a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) degree in Accounting & Finance, a Master of Science degree in Analysis, Design & Management of Information Systems, which he obtained at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and is also qualified in Advanced Financial Modelling at the London School of Business and Finance.
Andrew began his professional career at a Big Four accountancy firm in the UK and later moved to Barclays Wealth as a compliance consultant, which provided a platform to develop his knowledge and experience in the banking industry. He later worked at Nomura International where he consulted on risk and compliance matters affecting the global operations of the bank.
He also worked as the CFO for a global commodity trading group involving oil, dry bulk minerals and agriculture where he was in charge of negotiations for credit lines with banks, contracts and terms of letters of credit with counter parties.
Andrew is currently the CEO of Mobinet Group Holdings Limited with a passion and drive for true financial inclusion incorporating the latest thinking in fintech specially focused on the challenges faced by the unbanked and underbanked majority in Africa. He has spoken at conferences about the impact of technology for banking and payments across African economies where opportunities are provided for others in the informal sectors.
